UK tours update - Thursday 17 September
We are monitoring all UK trips to ensure that they will be able to operate within COVID-19 guidelines. Rules and regulations are changing frequently. Please be assured that if anything changes that may affect your trip, we will contact you as soon as possible.
Rule of Six - Tuesday 15 September
Due to the government's change in legislation this week against social gatherings of more than six people in England as of Monday 14 September, we have reviewed how we operate our imminent England tour departures. These trips will now be operated in groups of no more than five people plus a tour leader. Large groups will be separated into smaller ‘bubbles’ of five for the full itinerary, including activities, transportation and accommodation, with a tour leader. We are contacting all customers booked on to autumn departures of the amended trips to advise them of the changes.
The UK government has relaxed restrictions advising against non-essential travel to more than 60 countries and territories. Whilst this is welcome news, it doesn’t mean that the world is open to unrestricted travel just yet, as many countries still have both entry and travel restrictions in place. We have a specialist team reviewing our trips week-by-week, collating all the latest travel advice, regulations for each country and assessing each individual trip. Our team is working on trips due to depart in September, October and November, and assessing the viability of being able to successfully operate each trip. We are working through departures in date order and will continue to contact customers to update them on the status of their trip.
If we are planning to operate your trip and you are booked on a land only basis, we are relaxing the deadline for full payment from 60 days down to 35 days prior to departure and you will be notified accordingly. If you're booked on a flight inclusive basis, you may be required to pay for the flight component in full immediately, with the remaining balance paid at 35 days.
We understand the first thing you probably want to do is pick up the phone to us – but please let us contact you first. We're making contact with customers booked to travel in the next few months first, on a rolling basis.
We hope to operate as many holidays as possible from early September and, with information so rapidly changing, this staged approach allows us to respond accordingly.
