Some of the flight-inclusive holidays on this website are financially protected by the ATOL scheme. But ATOL protection does not apply to all holiday and travel services listed on this website. Please ask us to confirm what protection may apply to your booking. If you do not receive an ATOL Certificate then the booking will not be ATOL protected. If you do receive an ATOL Certificate but all the parts of your trip are not listed on it, those parts will not be ATOL protected. If the holiday arrangements you book with us do not include a flight, ATOL protection will not apply to your holiday and you will not receive an ATOL Certificate. Instead, your holiday will be financially protected by ABTOT – The Association of Bonded Travel Organisers Trust. Please note that bookings made outside the UK are only protected by ABTOT when purchased directly with Explore Worldwide Ltd. If you book a flight with us at a different time to the rest of your holiday (where your arrangements did not originally include a flight), your holiday booking will be amended to include the flight and will then be ATOL protected. 

The Association of Bonded Travel Organisers Trust Limited (ABTOT) provides financial protection under The Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018 for Explore Worldwide Ltd, Member 5207 and in the event of their insolvency, protection is provided for: 

- Non-flight packages

ABTOT cover provides for a refund in the event you have not yet travelled or repatriation if transportation was included in your package.  Please note that bookings made outside the UK are only protected by ABTOT when purchased directly with Explore Worldwide Ltd.

The organisation now groups together nearly 270 airlines, which combined fly over 95% of all international scheduled air traffic.

Explore was the first tour operator to qualify for the Trading Standards “Buy with Confidence” scheme. 

To qualify for the scheme, we had to be thoroughly vetted by Trading Standards and pass a series of detailed checks. These included agreeing to abide by the schemes code of conduct to operate in a legal, honest and fair way and demonstrate a high level of customer service; undergoing extensive checks including references from previous customers and reviews of the company’s complaints history. Explore was also visited by Trading Standards staff to prove that it was qualified, experienced and fully insured.
