Esme's passion for travel began aged 14, when her first trip to Thailand captured her heart. Since then, she's returned to Thailand three more times and credits the country with giving her the confidence to travel more independently. For Esme, some of the best travel experiences come from getting off the beaten track. If she's near the coast, you'll usually find her snorkelling or scuba diving, exploring the underwater world. Away from the sea, she loves seeking out independent coffee shops and local restaurants to get a true taste of a destination and its culture. One of Esme's favourite destinations is Ha Giang in northern Vietnam, where she spent five days motorbiking through some of the most spectacular scenery she's ever seen.
