Tell us about yourself

I became a tourist guide since 2001. I’ve worked for several local tour companies as EXO, Travel Indochina, Saigon Tourist, Vido Tour. I’ve done different tour series included: cycling, walking, family, boat cruise, classical tours. 2005 I started working for Explore as a local guide. 2007 I was trained by Explore travel in Vietnam and my Recce tour leader was Ms Pascal. I was in the  shortlisted for Explore’s Tour Leader of the Year Award 2018 and 2019. I am very proud and happy about it.

Which Explore tours do you lead?

I lead parts of the Vietnam and Cambodia tours.

I’ve worked for Explore as a tour leader since 2008.

What is your favourite local food?
BANH MI (Vietnamese baguettes with pâté, pork, mayonnaise, cucumber, pickles, chilli...).

Binh was the most exceptional tour guide. This was my first ever activity holiday and I was trepidatious before I arrived. From our first meeting, Binh put me at ease and made me very welcome as a solo traveller in the group. I've never been on a group tour before, and Binh will be an exceptionally hard act to follow. While cycling 40km per day alongside us, he showed a super-stamina for managing safety, sorting hotel logistics, facilitating group dynamics, educating and guiding, as well as administering minor first aid - all on his own!

Mr Binh was the best tour leader I have ever had. He was attentive to the needs of everyone in the group. He ensured from first thing in the morning till last thing in the evening that we were well cared for. On the cycle he was attentive to the needs of all the group making me feel safe and secure no matter what the terrain. His kindness knew no bounds, one of our group had a birthday and without telling any on us he arranged a beautiful cake for her. His knowledge of Vietnam was superb. I cannot thank him enough for making a good trip brilliant.
