Itinerary Suggestions

Special Offers - Free Nights

Experience one of the Masai Mara’s newest camps, Kicheche Valley, and stay one night for free. Kicheche Valley is located in the newly established Naboisho Conservancy, where sightings of elephant, lion and cheetah, as well as aardwolf and wild dog, have been excellent. Staying at Kicheche Valley, you will enjoy unlimited game drives and bush walks to see these wild creatures, with the opportunity to relax after your day’s sightseeing with a massage in your tent. Stay here for four nights, and you’ll receive one night free (conservancy fees and date restrictions apply).

Or how about staying at the comfortable Governors' Camp to enjoy old-fashioned safari hospitality - even better when you can take advantage of a free upgrade to Il Moran, their premier camp.

Several Masai Mara camps, including Rekero, Naboisho and Mara Plains, have offers to stay there and get nights for free. Contact us and let us plan your perfect wildlife escape - a week in the Mara is the perfect way to safari and escape the UK’s grey skies.

When to Travel

Kenya has little seasonal fluctuation in temperature, however the year can be divided into two distinct wet seasons. From late March to May the long rains occur. These can last several days and so we would advise against travel during this time. The shorter rains take place during November and generally last only an hour or two each day. The remaining months are warm and dry making them perfect for travel and game viewing.
The spectacular view of the wildebeest migration into the Masai Mara from the Serengeti takes place annually during mid August to mid October and so is a particularly good time to travel, though National Parks do inevitably get busy.

WILDLIFE, WILDLIFE, WILDLIFE

With world-famous national parks hosting spectacular wildlife, highland deserts, glaciated mountain peaks and a coral fringed coastline, Kenya is a wonderfully diverse destination offering a wealth of travelling experiences. Enriching any big game spectacle is the visible reminder of the ancient culture of the tribes people who live today as they always have, welcoming guests with a friendly smile and a “jambo!”

Meet Aisling Bull, Regional Specialist for Kenya

 Aisling
"Generally most people’s first choice for a safari, Kenya offers so much more: friendly and welcoming people, beautiful accommodation and stunning scenery. However the main draw is the possibility of seeing giraffe, zebra and flamingos, or even the ‘Big Five’, lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo."

“A FEW OF MY FAVOURITE  KENYAN HIGHLIGHTS”

Lake Nakuru

tm nakuru

“One of the best places in the world to see greater and lesser flamingos in their thousands. The area is also home to white rhinos and over 450 species of bird."

Camp or Lodge?

"From budget bush camping to luxurious tented lodges, whether you’re friends on an adventure, a family with children or on your honeymoon, Kenya offers something for everyone."

Masai Mara

tm masai

“See a dramatic display of nature when thousands of wildebeest and zebra pass through the Masai Mara on their annual migration. This generally occurs between July and October."
