If you want a holiday where every day is full of highlights , then this is for you. It is full on tourism & none stop. If visiting cultural & religious sites is your thing , then this is for you. The standard of accommodation was very good , particulary that provided by the 2 Kibbutizm. Travel in the bus isn't too bad , Israel is a small country. I flew on the group flight : El Al : Prior to check in you will be grilled by Israeli security - Take your final confirmation , You will be asked where you are staying , the group tour you are on , etc , etc. Show them that & you should be OK . If you have any visa or stamps from Lebanon , Syria , Iran you will be detained for questioning , particulary at Tel Aviv airport. Having said that El Al must be the most secure airline in the world.Try to get some Israeli money before you leave. Crossing the "Protection Barrier " into the West Bank was an interesting experience. We had a local guide , she worked hard to ensure we had a good time & told us what life was like for Israeli Arabs. I do not have any great religious faith but I found all sites particulary the Western Wall quite moving. The Yad Vashem Memorial in Jerusalem was quite a profound experience. I really enjoyed this holiday , unlike other Explore tours I have been on; you don't have a great deal of time to yourself , but the group were a bunch of OK people. I found the tour quite tiring ( maybe that's just me ) wake up call 6.30am on the bus for 8.00am , all good fun.
