Marvelling at the amazing rock formations in Cappadocia and walking through the Red Valley; floating above the Fairy Chimneys in a hot air balloon; drifting past the rock tombs in Dalyan; going at our own pace in Ephesus; Seeing the local way of life in Istanbul's backstreets as well as the tourist sights; having a knowledgeable guide and a safe driver. Advice: you're only a solo traveller before you join the group; when you've met your group it becomes a holiday with friends!! (DTU- 29th May 2010)

What a grand adventure! Our wonderful guide said it was a new trip, Ankara to Istanbul. Every day was a joy- the highlights being the ancient art city of Aphrodesia, and the fascinating cave churches of Cappadocia. There was magic in our little blue bus with 13 travellers- it seemed able to change shape and size as we slipped down narrow streets and up mountain roads, often arriving at sites with no one else around. April is a fine time to go- warm, sunny, tulips blooming everywhere, no crowds. Being western Canadians, we thought we were friendly, but the Turks are a delight, good-natured and full of fun. Some fellow travellers were on their sixth and seventh Explore tours, one on his twenty-ninth! Advice- don't hesitate! (DTU- 3rd April 2010)
