What was the highlight or most memorable moment of your tour?
I really enjoyed walking on the wall and looking at the wonderful panaramic views.i enjoyed taking photos.what was an interesting moment for me looking at the old wall and the new wall that has been rebuilt.what was stunning and that to see the watch towers on the wall some in not bad condition and some falling apart.i thought the landscapes were amazing and how people can build such a wall thousands of kilometers long and over steep mountains.
How was your Explore Tour Leader?
I thought the tour leader peter was great did a good job and a nice guy
What tips would you give to someone else booking this tour?
People who are keen on hiking i think it was a very interesting tour with its history and landscapes and highly recommended
Do you have anything else to add?
I really liked beijing,meeting the people,going to the forbidden city.going to china was a great experience in my life to know what its about.
| Second attempt at this holiday and successful! Although surprised there were only 6 people (including us) it was the very best way to travel, just like being with your family. Peter the guide was tremendous because he loved his country and wanted everyone to share it. Everything was a highlight, but the best day was spent walking through the hills, eating wild cherries and loganberries, then hiding in a tower on the Great Wall in an immense thunderstorm. And all of the staff in the hotels, who were an experience in themselves. The best! |
