Too many to pick one - the drive along the Amalfi Coast, with its stunning views, was amazing; Sorrento, Amalfo and Ravello were beautiful and interesting; Capri was gorgeous; I struggled with Pompeii due to the crowds but thought Herculaneum was fascinating; the Archaeological Museum in Naples was a great introduction to the holiday; the trip to Vesuvius, despite the slightly dodgy weather, was great - I adored the whole holiday!
How was your Explore Tour Leader?
Skye was simply fantastic! Her knowledge was superb, and she was so capable that I felt nothing was beyond her abilities - even when things didn't go quite according to plan she instantly knew how to sort the situation out.
What tips would you give to someone else booking this tour?
Do some reading beforehand on the history of Pompeii, Herculaneum and Vesuvius, and invest in a good guide book before you go so you know what you're looking for and looking at - you will get so much more out of your visit, particularly to Pompeii, which is a huge site to navigate your way around.
Do you have anything else to add?
"A superb holiday, with so many wonderful places to visit. My tip - in Sorrento, visit the Gelateria David to see how proper gelato is made - you get a demonstration, recipes to try at home, and tastings, all included in the price!
Be prepared for Naples to be loud, hectic and busy. In Ravello, visit the gardens at the Villa Rufolo for superb views along the coast."
