Cycling In Sardinia
With superb coastal scenery, mountain landscapes and a climate to match, the Mediterranean island of Sardinia is perfectly suited to a cycle holiday. Our twin-centre trip starts in the west, exploring the dramatic coastline and Malvasia vineyards. Crossing the rugged interior we pass through mountains and beautiful traditional villages. In the eastern town of Orosei we cycle through Bidderosa Natural reserve, to idyllic beaches and culminate our ride with the grand Supramonte mountains. There are plenty of opportunities to swim in Sardinia's famed turquoise seas with a back drop of coves, gulfs and superb beaches.

On this tour we cycle 207 km over five days (an average of 41 km per day) with a further optional 125 km available. We mostly follow provincial roads with little car traffic (90% tarmac roads, 10% good gravel roads). Maps are provided to cycle individually or in groups while the tour leader drives the support vehicle, except on circular routes when the tour leader will cycle with the group (days 3 and 6). We have graded the route as moderate.
