Table Mountain is so called because of a 'cloth' of mist that sits on it
Groups planning to take an adventure holiday in South Africa should consider a walking holiday near the major city of Cape Town.
The Cape Town Tourism Board has recommended visiting the region of Western Cape on hiking holiday, while taking in the famous landmark of Table Mountain.
Cape Town's tourism body said that people travelling to walk on the ancient rock feature should be sure to take care, as some of the routes it is possible to take can be "demanding".
"Hiking on Table Mountain is an enormously rewarding experience but, even though it is 'only' 1085 metres (3500 ft) high, it is a mountain that needs to be treated with caution and respect," the organisation said said.
Known as Table Mountain due to the 'cloth' of clouds that sometimes sit atop it, the formation is very famous in the region and even appears on the flag of Cape Town.
