Travellers visiting the Amalfi Coast will be surrounded by beautiful scenery and exquisite towns.
People enjoying walking holidays to the Amalfi Coast will find peace and tranquillity, as well as beautiful scenery, one travel writer has noted.
According to Davey Byrne, the Italian location offers a "once-in-a-lifetime adventure", whether you visit the beautiful town of Sorrento or head further north to the exquisite Bay of Naples.
Writing for the Daily Express' travel website tripideas.co.uk, he explained that the celebrated coastline is filled with "confetti-hued towns" including Ravello, Positano, Amalfi and Sorrento.
"These enchanting seaside resorts, with cobbled streets, shaded piazzas, ornate churches and palaces, appear to cascade down the hillside into the turquoise waters of the sea below," Mr Byrne wrote.
"The hair-pin cliff-side roads offer wonderful views across the Bay Of Naples to the brooding Mount Vesuvius in the distance."
Walking holidays to the Amalfi Coast and Bay of Naples would not be complete without a trip to Pompeii and Herculaneum, while travellers will also be able to walk to the crater rim of Vesuvius.
