Japan is an 'incredibly diverse and dynamic' country
Japan is such a great destination for people on adventure holidays as it mixes two completely different elements, by mixing the modern day with its "revered traditions".
That is according to Kylie Clark, who is press relations and marketing manager for the Japan National Tourism Organisation.
Ms Clark said that the "incredibly diverse" country lends itself to prior research, otherwise people risk not getting the absolute most from their holiday.
"One of Japan's key charms is its dynamic mix of the ultra modern and revered traditions. Combining Tokyo with its avant-garde skyscrapers and high-tech showrooms with Japan's ancient capital of Kyoto," she said.
The tourism official recommended the more traditional area for its "historical inns and exquisite gardens". She also suggested that Kyoto is a good place to see "Japan's old and new sides".
Other places in Japan that are worth visiting include Mount Fuji, which is a beautiful sight to view when on a walking trip.
