Adventure holidays in Malta offer some beautiful beaches
Malta is an ideal country for people on adventure holidays, as it still has many sites of "undiscovered" beauty, especially in its beaches.
That is according Alex Incorvaja, who is the UK and Ireland director for the Malta Tourism Authority. He also said that the country's history is one of the most fascinating in the world.
"There is an excellent example of early Maltese culture - The Hypogeum, which dates back to 3,600 BC - excellently preserved, this underground temple is a must see," he said.
"However it gets booked up, sometimes as much as six weeks in advance, so I highly recommend visitors book in their visit before they arrive on our islands."
Malta also has an "agreeable climate", reaching 23 degrees Centigrade this week (to April 7th) and having summer high averages of 32 degrees.
Despite being one of the smallest countries in the world, Malta has nine UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including The Hypogeum (which translates from Greek as "underground").
