People on the look out for activity holidays could consider going to Rajasthan in India, as the area is "increasingly popular".
Such is the opinion of Chris Leadbeater, a travel writer fro the Daily Mail, who claims that the area is becoming more attractive to visitors because of its "alluring cities" and wildlife.
He wrote: "Rajasthan is increasingly popular of late, thanks as much to its alluring cities as it setting within the dry sands of the Thar Desert or the wildlife hidden within its jungle."
Mr Leadbeater added that the city of Jaipur has many forts, temples and palaces, while Udaipur is surrounded by lakes and its nickname "city of lakes" is well-deserved.
Ranthambore, the national park, is located in Rajasthan and visitors can spot the "illusive" Indian tiger.
Rajasthan is the biggest state in the Republic of India and is home to one of the world's oldest mountain ranges.
