European country offers 'wide variety of ports and historic towns'
Croatia's "wide variety of ports and historic towns" make a great destination for anyone planning adventure holidays in the country.
That is according to an expert on yachting, who says the region is great for travelling on sea or as a leg of Croatian hiking holidays.
The Croatian government has recently pledged to renovate the infrastructure of the ports and piers in cities such as the 'pearl of the Adriatic', Dubrovnik.
Gael Pawson, editor of Yachts and Yachting Magazine, voiced his hopes that this will increase tourism to the 'stunning' destination
"The Adriatic Sea is famed for its clear waters and steady breezes and with over 1,000 islands [plus] a wide variety of ports and historic towns to explore, the country has a worldwide reputation as a stunning … holiday destination," he said.
Last week, the Croatian National Tourist Office also recommended a sailing holiday around the country's myriad islands and "secluded bays and inlets".
