'Ditch the four by four', suggests travelling website
People hoping to go on one or more hiking holidays this year may want to think about South Africa's Eastern Cape.
That is according to online travel magazine Wanderlust, who suggest the hiking safari that Addo Elephant National Park runs.
The website puts the trip into its top ten South African adventures: "The thrill of spotting an elephant and stalking it on foot is simply magical, there are plenty of other residents to look out for," the article reads.
"Peer into the treetops to spot hornbills and African firefinches, and watch warthogs, kudu and eland pick their way through the thicket."
The Eastern Cape province of South Africa is famous for its city of Port Elizabeth, which hosted the third place play-off between Uruguay and Germany in this year's FIFA World Cup.
So, "ditch the four by four and walk", as the Wanderlust writers suggest and go on a hiking holiday in South Africa.
