Enjoy snorkelling and underwater diving during a stay in the Maldives
Adventure holidays in the Maldives need to be experienced to be believed, it has been claimed.
Travel writer Vida Rodgers recently visited the islands for her honeymoon and claimed she was unprepared for the many activities she was able to enjoy during her holiday, such as underwater diving.
She wrote on the Daily Mail website: "No amount of underwater films nor television natural history programmes prepares you for the triggerfish, parrotfish, stingrays, turtles and even harmless sharks that you see while diving in the Maldives.
"And those are just some of the creatures we recognised, there were many more exotic creatures that we didn't."
Ms Rodgers also enjoyed a two-hour snorkelling trip at a reef and saw a range of sea creatures including multi-coloured schools of fish, starfish, coral formations and even a florescent blue cuttle-fish.
The Maldives are a double-chain of 26 atolls in the Indian Ocean.
