Travellers planning an activity holiday in Petra should pay a visit to the "awe-inspiring" Mount Nebo, it has been claimed.
Jody Thompson, writing for the Daily Mirror, expressed her belief that the mountain, which is more than 2,600ft above sea level, should be on every holidaymakers' itinerary.
She said: "The peak is supposedly where God showed Moses the promised land after he'd travelled across Egypt and the Red Sea, and it's just as stunning and awe-inspiring as you would imagine."
Once guests have made the way to the top of the peak, Ms Thompson advised them to head to the nearby town of Madaba which is home to a sixth-century "masterpiece mosaic of the Holy Land".
The artwork is laid out on the floor of the 19th century Greek Orthodox Church of St George and is comprised of two million pieces of coloured stone.
Petra is one of the most-visited cities in Jordan and was founded in the sixth century.
