Victoria Pendleton reveals that she likes to be close to nature on holiday
Great Britain's Olympic hopeful Victoria Pendleton has revealed that she is quite the fan of adventure holidays after saying that being "surrounded by nature" is her idea of a perfect trip.
The world champion cyclist, in an interview with the Daily Telegraph, also revealed that solo holidays appeal to her.
"I need things to do and I love being surrounded by nature and being able to take time to enjoy it. When I'm working I'm always in a team environment, so a bit of solitude is good too," she said.
"Two years ago I took a month off and travelled around Australia. It was such a good break, soaking up the amazing scenery and wildlife, that it stands out as one of my best ever."
People who want to get away with an adventure holiday to Australia could visit some top sights, such as the cities of Adelaide and Melbourne, as well as natural wonders like Uluru and the Great Barrier Reef.
