Daily Mail travel editor recommends the country for adventure holidays
People looking for a new place to take a safari adventure holiday should consider Malawi, as the destination is quieter than its neighbours, but still perfect for animal-watching.
Mark Palmer, who is travel and property editor at the Daily Mail, wrote about the hidden gem of a travel destination in the national newspaper, predicting that the country will become very popular with those on safari adventure holidays.
"We are on safari in Malawi - which sounds a little unusual because this small … country has nothing like the reputation of its more illustrious neighbours when it comes to high-end gamespotting. But it soon will," he said.
"The list of what you see goes on and on: dense pods of hippo, flotillas of crocodiles, legions of elephants, rhino, kudu, waterbuck, baboons and some 400 species of bird."
Some of the nearby destinations that people could visit while on adventure travel tours in this part of Africa include Mozambique and Zambia.
