That is according to Faical Alaoui, who is the trade marketing manager for the UK and Ireland at the Moroccan National Tourist Office. He said that the history of the Moroccan city mixes past and future to create the present.

"Visitors can enjoy the experience of a daily living culture, arts and crafts in its souks and Medina, mixed with a taste of history via its historical sites."
The marketing manager added that the "atmosphere" of the second-largest conurbation in Morocco perfectly mirrors the mood and "legacy" of the country's society. One important element of Marrakech's history can be seen in the Moorish architecture throughout the city.
