Holidaymakers can relax on the beautiful sandy beaches of Goa
Britons planning to escape the harsh winter will find a solo holiday in Goa is a relaxing experience, it has been claimed.
Georgia Pettipherm, writing for online travel website tripideas.co.uk, expressed her belief that Sernabatim Beach in Goa is one of the most relaxing spots in the Indian state.
She said: "Its sands stretch further than the eye can see. Every morning, fishermen haul in huge nets and drag their catch on to the beach.
"Families gather from Colva (the nearest village) to paddle in the warm water and watch the breathtaking sunsets. It is 'the' place to be for the local community. Even farmers stick to the beach, herding cows across the sand."
Ms Pettipherm added that travelers could also head out to a beach market to collect a souvenir from their trip.
Guests will be able to pick up everything from Indian spices to jewellery at discount prices.
