Brazil has seen a 'steady rise' of international visitors
People planning to take a solo holiday to Brazil are in good company, as - according to the country's promotional body - more and more travellers are choosing to visit the destination.
Marco Lomanto, who is products and destinations director at the Brazillian tourism board Embratur, noted that more people are visiting the destination than ever before.
"In the past few years Brazil has seen a steady rise of international visitors. 2011 saw a record-breaking number of tourists and consequently tourist expenditure," he said.
Mr Lomanto also noted that the fact that Brazil has won the right to host the 2014 FIFA World Cup and 2016 Summer Olympic Games will increase the likelihood of people visiting the county.
He noted: "Improvements in Brazil's infrastructure and accommodation currently underway in the preparation for the events are leading to even better facilities for tourists."
People travelling to Brazil in a few years' time will be able to take advantage of the improved facilities while on a solo holiday or activity trip.
