The Sunshine Project in Luxor cares for abandoned children. In a country where the family is so important, unwanted children carry a great stigma that can affect them for the rest of their lives. State resources are stretched so Sunshine is working to give these children a decent start in life by providing a caring home and schooling.
This is a small but very dedicated organisation currently caring for over 70 children aged from birth to 16 years. Most of the children come as babies, commonly wrapped in pieces of rag and in desperate need of love and care. Sunshine offers these children a home for life.

We make an annual donation to Sunshine – consistent support they can rely upon. We were delighted to see the completion of the new building in 2008 and would like to thank all our customers who supported this project over the years.
